Easy Web Publishing
The Internet and rich media content has become one of the most important parts of today’s GIS world. Google Maps and similar Web services have popularized mapping. Many need to publish their geospatial data to get feedback from the public, or simply to share their data in the transparent way the Internet makes possible.
Traditional GIS requires separate pieces of software for desktop and web based operations, and often third party tools as well. To make web publishing or creating web GIS applications easier, GIS Cloud has been designed as all-in-one web solution. Create, edit, analyze and publish data from only one GIS service and, even more importantly, do it simply.
Until now, one of the biggest issues in GIS was maintaining published data. When data is changed locally, it is necessary to update the already published maps. This requires the update process to be repeated each time changes are made.
Because GIS Cloud is a web application, online data sharing is much simpler. The user only needs to copy and paster the map’s URL into their website, and the map is published. Changes made to the map are instantly visible because the project embedded in the website is actually the same project maintained in the application.
