Near Analysis

Note: To preform Near analysis, point layer must reside in the Database.

Near analysis is a tool with which you can determine the distance from each feature in a layer to the nearest feature in the same layer, within the specified search radius.

To perform Near analysis:

    1. Select Analysis tab.
    2. Click Near icon.
    3. Select database point layer.
    4. Set distance (search radius) and units of measure.   Note: you can speed up process time by setting bounds to local region.
    5. Click Run button.

You can see number of selected features in the Toolbar.

You can also create new layer from selection: Feature tab->New layer from Selection.
